This video was taken from the Lost Reef bioherm that rests between 115ft/35m and 145ft/44m. This reef is one of our personal favorites as it tend to have large schools of fish whenever we visit it. We decided to showcase this reef in the "Moonless Oasis" documentary because it's a great example of the symbiotic relationship between different of animals.
What also makes this reef special is that it's accompanied by a second reef that falls away on its south end via a sponge garden stops down to an amazing depth of 260ft/80m. There are only a couple of double reefs like this in Howe Sound.
